Happy Mothers Day! I hope you had a relaxing day and enjoyed yourself. We were fairly busy with swim lessons and some errands. Later in the day my Mom and Aunt came over for a dinner and before we knew it they were off. Next time maybe they can stay a bit longer! The kids both wrote lovely letters to me and I was the lucky receiver of some books. What a great day!

Where does the time go?
The girls had dance pictures this past weekend and with that comes the makeup and the hair. Even I was taken back about how grown up they look. This was a very satisfying task for Miss Cinderella as some of the girls in her class are wearing makeup so every so often she asks if she can to - um let me think about that. Oh yeah NO! I didn't even think that in grade 4 girls thought about stuff like that but I guess I must live in the dark ages. Regardless, they both looked wonderful and had fun getting all glammed up.

Monkey Business
Oh never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have a monkey on my head. I so did not enjoy it! Bet you couldn't tell by the picture! In Honduras we went to a "zoo" I had no idea that you would be inside the exhibit. I was okay up until the point that the monkey jumped onto Princess Belle and missed her shoulder and it started to claw its way up her back by pulling on her hair. Once it was on her head it opened its mouth and I thought for sure it was going to bite her. As a mother I was already thinking okay where is the hospital from here, what happens if we miss our ship and what sort of diseases do monkeys carry. These things were still going through my mind when it hopped onto my shoulders. I wanted out and NOW!! Another lady watched it climb up Princess Belle and said "we are gone now, move it"! Next time I visit a zoo I will ask what side of the cage I will be on!

What's up alligator?!
I wasn't fooling you was I?! I will admit that I was way too chicken to hold it. I really did try but I just couldn't it was warm and the thought of holding on tight to its tail was just too much for me. By the way this is a 3 year old alligator - I was really surprised by its size.
It's been so long since I have posted anything so I thought I better get back to it. We had a great vacation and it now seems so long ago. The cruise was really nice and relaxing and we enjoyed Florida again. We didn't do Disney World this time as it was Easter and I *knew* the lines would be long and that I wouldn't enjoy it as much. We did lots of other stuff though and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. Here's a few pictures. It was Princess Belle's birthday on the cruise and she enjoyed her special day.
In Belize we did a city tour in an old Toyota - 5 of us plus the driver. It was a tad too cozy for me and forget about the seatbelts as there wasn't one to be found in the car. It was so hot and the Princesses were less than impressed.
Our last stop on the cruise was in the Bahama's and it was exciting as Miss Cinderella lost a tooth! The tooth fairy on a cruise ship is a special event. It is tradition in our family that the tooth fairy dips the end of her dress in a glass of water and whatever color the water is that is the color of her dress. This time the water was slightly pink.
Right before we left our computer totally died. It wouldn't turn on. Rhino went out and purchased a new power supply and it still wouldn't turn on. The computer geek basically said it could cost about $350 to fix and we still would have an outdated computer. I hate when these things happen. We did get a new computer and it is nice but I am still trying to locate my pictures. I think we took about a zillion pictures on the holiday but I did manage to get those sorted. It's a love/hate relationship with digital photos as you have so many pictures to decide between. I think I "narrowed" it down to about 300 that I will print to scrapbook.
I worked on a great project on Monday with some ladies from the girls school. I re-did my mailbox. It was looking a little worse for wear. I still need to take a picture of it and hang it back up. I had to let it dry and then we have had a wind warning out for the past two days I don't want my efforts getting ruined in the first day. Maybe tomorrow.....I promise it will be soon!

Finally finished!
We went to NYC for our 12th anniversary in 2008 and had a fantastic time. It was our first trip without the kids. We enjoyed every minute of it and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Only this time I would bring better walking shoes! I'll never forget buying shoes at midnight in Times Square. We saw so many cute shoes in the fashion district store windows for really cheap but I knew nothing would feel right on my feet so I sadly just looked and walked on by.
Today I am almost finished my scrapbook of this trip! I just need to get some more page protectors and then I am done. I love the feeling of getting something off the table and thinking about what is next. I spent about an hour cleaning off my table today. It tends to act as the catch all space for things and I'll admit I am the worst offender. I like to pile it up. And to be fair it wasn't really bad so don't think I am a hoarder! If I could find a spot for my cricut expression that would clear up a whole lot of space.
Once we get back from this upcoming vacation though I can go down to my room and have a fresh clean start. What to work on though is the next question. Too many choices Punta Cana, Nova Scotia, childhood pictures of me, and a wedding album to name a few! It can be overwhelming at times to try to pick something.
Tomorrow is a busy day with some last minute things to pick up for Princess Belle's birthday party on Saturday. And I also have to make a stop for the page protectors. If my technical advisor is reading this can you please get in touch with me as I have a question!
Just in case anyone was wondering -- my vision is fine even though I seem to be pushing the envelope - I got undu in my eyebrow!! How does one do that you are asking? The undu was coming out so fast and I was trying to remove pictures from the acid eating sandwiches (magnetic photoalbums I know you have them too!)I was trying to lift the edge of the photo and it flicked up at me. After using about 1/2 of the bottle of undu I was a little lightheaded! I figured it was a good time to stop and take a break.

I can still see!!!
I am a very lucky woman right now! I still am able to see after my accident of getting proactiv skin lightening lotion in my eye! How does a fairly intelligent woman get it in her eye you are asking yourself right!? All I can say is I put a very small amount on my finger to apply to my forehead and it just rolled off my finger into my eye. I can honestly say it was the worst pain I have ever felt! I was screaming for the husband, Rhino, to help me. The Princesses are assembled outside of the bathroom watching the crazy mother wail in pain. After telling them to get back to bed as we had everything under control - I ask Rhino am I going to go blind? After a really good flush out and lots of the eye watering I am happy to report that it is almost all better! However, the skin lightening lotion is now going in the garbage as it has hydrquinone in it and apparently that has been linked to cancer. Oh my the price of beauty.
What else have I been up to? Helping Princess Belle get over a cold and insisting that she still attend her regular ballet classes and also go to additional practice as the RAD exam is coming up very quickly. The exam is coming up in 2 weeks and she needs to still learn some things. Lots of pressure now as she has only been in ballet for 4 months.
We hosted a great early family dinner with the cousins and aunt tonight! It felt like spring today and it was a great day for a BBQ.
Off to bed now that my eye is no longer stinging! And thanks Rhino for remaining calm, cool and collected while the crazy wife was having a meltdown.

Peer pressure!
Between my daughter, Princess Belle, and a friend who lives across the country I am being pressured to start a blog! Even though my life is VERY boring! A long time ago I set up a blog in 2008 and before I knew what happened it is 2010 - major time warp! Too funny but I guess it doesn't really matter. I really need to get more with it and understand the technology. No more excuses - this may even mean that I should at least watch the DVD that came with my camera!
Miss Cinderella just finished her "swim lessons". I honestly think that school swim lessons are more of a social activity! They never seem to be organized very well and kids are always in the wrong level and the kids just want to talk to their friends! I never expect a "pass"! At least the weather wasn't very cold as all the girls seem to have long hair that freezes. Princess Belle starts her lessons tomorrow. And she is really looking forward to it. I like to go to every lesson and help in the change room as I know that my girls have no body fat and just stand there shaking like a leaf!
Off to wash the swim towels and look up some technology!
