No more braces{for a while}!

Finally after 4 years! Yes you read that right the braces came off!  It was an exciting day for Miss Cinderella and she is very pleased with how it feels! We are very pleased with how it all turned out and when we look at the before pictures we are very happy!  Even though it seemed like a long road it was 2 years ago that she had her dental surgery.  Which is not something I ever want to repeat.  We will enjoy this stage and just admire those pearly whites!

Happy Birthday!

We officially have a teenager in the house! How fun is that! For Miss Cinderella's birthday party for months we had the spa idea floating around and finally the stars aligned and we pulled it off. We started at the house having a quick brunch with all our favorite foods. And then we went to the spa aka "beauty school". The girls had a full on pampering session they received facials, make up application and a mini manicure with polish and some nail art. It was lots of fun!

A Vacation Analogy

Bear with me on this one.  You know when you are going on vacation and you feel nervous, anxious, even a tad bit scared and also excited I've just experienced that.  You've prepared and read all the guide books, talked to people who have been there and then you've also googled it (even though I try to keep that to a minimum).  But you still don't know what it will be like for you until you arrive.  What if you get there and your flight wasn't as smooth as possible? What if you arrive to your destination and you decide "oh no this is not what I expected" and you want to go home but you can't go back.  Or you get there and think "wow why didn't I do this years ago this is going to be the best thing ever".

I can say I have arrived and my "destination" seems to be very comfortable and so far I am not regretting anything.

Here was my view on day one.  I even made sure to paint my toes so they would look nice!

Coming home was great besides being very sleepy.  This was delivered and it was so nice and fresh!  You feel bad about taking it apart to eat.

Pure awesome - great things to look forward to!

I'll keep your posted about my journey but so far so good!  I am glad it is behind me so I can think about something else!

Manicure time

These pictures make my heart smile - manicure time!  When Rhino was in California in February he purchased a few items from one of those vendor carts...CRAZY!  All his ladies got a manicure kit and this was the buffing demonstration!

First Day of School

Well it came and went!  All in all it was a good first week. Princess Belle stayed in the same school and  was happy with her teacher.  But was sad that her bestie wasn't in her class.  Unfortunately, she caught a cold and gave it to her sister and me!  Miss Cinderella changed schools this year and that was stressful but so far it has been a great transition.  Still getting used to lockers, gym strips and cafeterias!  I am sure it will all come in time.

Activities have already started and already I am feeling overwhelmed!

Summers over!

Wow again time flies!  I cannot believe that I will have 2 Princesses returning to school in 2 days.  We had a great summer and the weather has been just great.  This summer we did some camping, some day trips, and lots of hanging out.

We had an awesome summer road trip to Southern California.  Perfect weather, lots to do, experienced 2 earthquakes, saw a protest and had lot of fun!
