Birthday Roses

While on holidays we celebrated my "29th" birthday again - funny how that keeps happening.  We for a great dinner with some friends we had met (Hello Ohio!) and I was even surprised with a birthday cake.  It was a great way to celebrate.

When I arrived home I had these lovely roses waiting for me from Rhino.  They are just about done their life cycle now but I had to share the beauty of this one particular rose.  It is pink on the inside and and then red on the outside.  It is just beautiful! Maybe if I went away more often I would get more flowers....

Dolphin Swim

Even though I am opposed to swimming with the Dolphins after seeing this movie I couldn't say no to the Princesses.  I guess why that's why we call them the Princesses anyways back to my topic! The dophininarium (isn't that a cool word!) was just a short 10 minute walk from our resort.  We walked down a couple of times and it was so neat as it was just part of the marina  and you could just walk around and see everything. 

The Princess had the best time and enjoyed every minute of the experience.  First off they got to meet manatees - they were huge and lots of fun.  They even got to feed them lettuce and just swim around with them.

Then it was off to see the dolphins...

They both loved everything about this day and it was a lot of swimming so they both slept good that night.  Miss Cinderella said that she dreamt all night about dolphins!

The Princesses call my Uncle BUBBA so it just seemed fitting that we get a picture of this.

Sunday Morning 9:00 am

Princess Belle had a full dress rehearsal for dance on Sunday morning at 10:00 am.  It was an early morning start to get her hair and makeup done.  I can guarantee that I didn't look anything like the Princess did!  I imagine most people on Sunday mornings don't look like this either.  The rehearsal went great and just a couple more weeks until the competitions start. I can't believe all the makeup that is required it makes her look so grown up! 

The rest of the day was spent doing homework, napping and then watching Tangled!  BUBBA sent Princess Belle Tangled for her birthday and we finally just got to watch it.  It was a great family movie night.

April Showers Bring May Flowers, Right?

I so did not like this spring snowstorm!  It seems as if the snow is never going to go away.  If this is spring I can't wait to see our summer.  Luckily, most of this has melted on the roads and sidewalks.  And on the plus side it should make the grass nice and green! 

And just yesterday I was looking at a rosebush and dreaming of where to plant it.  It was a good thing I left it at the store.

Home Sweet Home

Okay, I will admit it I am a picky eater!  I also happen to travel with some picky eaters on occasion. It is really nice to have someone prepare your meals for you.  For the most part I appreciate and enjoy it but sometimes you can't beat something from your own kitchen.  Here were a few breakfast choices from our resort in Mexico.

Surprisingly, I haven't had one complaint since coming home about anything that has been served for dinner.  I've even had a few of the "I love this stuff" comments.  But then again for kids being at home is like being at an all inclusive resort in terms of meal planning and preparation.  But we did have a little tast of home here!

And yes we did have the cono!

Returned from Paradise

It was great!  We swam, played, ate, made some friends and missed Rhino!  But alas we are at home and I bet you can't guess what I am doing?  If you guessed napping and washing you would be right!  Both are calling my name so I'll be back.
