Beautiful!
Thanks to digital everyone takes a million photos, right?! We seem too and we never delete them even though they are crappy and we would never print them but still we save them - you know just in case! We take A LOT of pictures in our house but it is slowing down as the Princesses get older. While uploading and sorting (well trying to) all the photos out I "discovered" this photo. It just took my breath away. It made me realize that Miss Cinderella is growing up. How did this happen? In some ways it seems like just a blink of an eye and in other ways it has seemed like a long time. I just got lots of photos printed and want to do something special with this photo as I just love it!
The Princesses have their dance recital this upcoming weekend and I am sure we will have lots of great photo opportunities. Everything is coming to the end - dance and school. Let's hope that our weather improves and that we feel like summer soon. Everything is super green and lush now - so let's add the sunshine. Only 20 some days of school left....the panic sets in! Better get some scrapbooking done soon!

Hello Spring!
Can you believe a heavy snow fall warning on May 25?! My poor trees! We did go outside and tried to knock some of the snow off them so they wouldn't break. But still this is May...what happened to May flowers? The mind can only take so much of this white stuff and mine has reached its limit for the time being!
This though makes my heart very happy!!
The Princesses bathroom is taking shape! We had a new granite countertop installed and it made the mirror look so plain. But with a bit of patience and a trip to Home Depot it is looking so much better. It still needs one more coat of black and then the distressing needs to get done. I can't wait!

Happy Mothers Day!
Happy Mothers Day! I hope you had a relaxing day and enjoyed yourself. We were fairly busy with swim lessons and some errands. Later in the day my Mom and Aunt came over for a dinner and before we knew it they were off. Next time maybe they can stay a bit longer! The kids both wrote lovely letters to me and I was the lucky receiver of some books. What a great day!
Where does the time go?
The girls had dance pictures this past weekend and with that comes the makeup and the hair. Even I was taken back about how grown up they look. This was a very satisfying task for Miss Cinderella as some of the girls in her class are wearing makeup so every so often she asks if she can to - um let me think about that. Oh yeah NO! I didn't even think that in grade 4 girls thought about stuff like that but I guess I must live in the dark ages. Regardless, they both looked wonderful and had fun getting all glammed up.

Monkey Business
Oh never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have a monkey on my head. I so did not enjoy it! Bet you couldn't tell by the picture! In Honduras we went to a "zoo" I had no idea that you would be inside the exhibit. I was okay up until the point that the monkey jumped onto Princess Belle and missed her shoulder and it started to claw its way up her back by pulling on her hair. Once it was on her head it opened its mouth and I thought for sure it was going to bite her. As a mother I was already thinking okay where is the hospital from here, what happens if we miss our ship and what sort of diseases do monkeys carry. These things were still going through my mind when it hopped onto my shoulders. I wanted out and NOW!! Another lady watched it climb up Princess Belle and said "we are gone now, move it"! Next time I visit a zoo I will ask what side of the cage I will be on!

What's up alligator?!
I wasn't fooling you was I?! I will admit that I was way too chicken to hold it. I really did try but I just couldn't it was warm and the thought of holding on tight to its tail was just too much for me. By the way this is a 3 year old alligator - I was really surprised by its size.
It's been so long since I have posted anything so I thought I better get back to it. We had a great vacation and it now seems so long ago. The cruise was really nice and relaxing and we enjoyed Florida again. We didn't do Disney World this time as it was Easter and I *knew* the lines would be long and that I wouldn't enjoy it as much. We did lots of other stuff though and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. Here's a few pictures. It was Princess Belle's birthday on the cruise and she enjoyed her special day.
In Belize we did a city tour in an old Toyota - 5 of us plus the driver. It was a tad too cozy for me and forget about the seatbelts as there wasn't one to be found in the car. It was so hot and the Princesses were less than impressed.
Our last stop on the cruise was in the Bahama's and it was exciting as Miss Cinderella lost a tooth! The tooth fairy on a cruise ship is a special event. It is tradition in our family that the tooth fairy dips the end of her dress in a glass of water and whatever color the water is that is the color of her dress. This time the water was slightly pink.
Right before we left our computer totally died. It wouldn't turn on. Rhino went out and purchased a new power supply and it still wouldn't turn on. The computer geek basically said it could cost about $350 to fix and we still would have an outdated computer. I hate when these things happen. We did get a new computer and it is nice but I am still trying to locate my pictures. I think we took about a zillion pictures on the holiday but I did manage to get those sorted. It's a love/hate relationship with digital photos as you have so many pictures to decide between. I think I "narrowed" it down to about 300 that I will print to scrapbook.
I worked on a great project on Monday with some ladies from the girls school. I re-did my mailbox. It was looking a little worse for wear. I still need to take a picture of it and hang it back up. I had to let it dry and then we have had a wind warning out for the past two days I don't want my efforts getting ruined in the first day. Maybe tomorrow.....I promise it will be soon!
